An outdoor front yard and backyard transformation in Sykesville, MD, featuring a 42” outdoor fireplace, with multiple color tones to complement the property, a compact yet practical outdoor kitchen, and more. The property was also upgraded with a new Trex Transcend deck with grey decking, which goes great against the tan-colored home. The new deck was also outfitted with low-voltage lighting throughout, making it truly a new outdoor living experience.

These homeowners had a good-sized backyard space to work with but it was nothing more than a grass lawn before we began. We turned this Glenwood, MD, property into multiple outdoor living and entertaining spaces. A total redesign for this backyard was completed in order to maximize the existing outdoor space with a pool. Through the design-build of the hardscaping and landscaping, our team was able to expand the upper deck, create a covered space underneath, and expand the pool patio. This extension of the pavers includes an area with a luxurious outdoor fireplace and multiple places to sit and relax. The pool deck includes an elevated platform with waterfall features to blend perfectly with the surrounding property. The addition of fire features and the covered deck space also allows for more use beyond the summer season.

The centerpiece of this outdoor retreat is a luxurious swimming pool, designed to be both a recreational haven and a visual masterpiece. Strategically placed, the pool offers unobstructed views of the open bay, transforming the area into a serene private sanctuary. The travertine pool patio pavers complement the surrounding landscape, blending harmoniously with the home’s architecture and the picturesque environment.
