In our featured Crystal Ridge project, we began this complex landscape project over a decade ago, constantly evolving landscape design elements that not only complemented the elevation changes of the property itself, but also met the needs of the homeowners.
From the introduction of the pool design, five years ago, to the functional and strategic space that we have today, complete with an outdoor kitchen, custom paver driveway, and covered composite deck, we’ve continually enhanced the property to reflect the homeowners’ vision.

Phase 1: From Blank Slate to Outdoor Retreat
This project began with a blank slate; a vast, natural backyard with endless possibilities. The goal in the first phase of this landscape renovation project was to establish the core elements that would enhance the property’s natural beauty, all while fulfilling the client’s vision for a stunning outdoor space. Phase 1 introduced a covered and remodeled composite deck to connect the indoor and outdoor living spaces, a pool design with a tanning ledge and a natural stone diving rock, and a cozy outdoor fireplace.
By focusing on landscape renovations that celebrate the natural beauty of the surroundings, we further enhanced this space with natural stone accents and pathways to make separate outdoor living spaces, a custom-designed outdoor shed, and improved the landscape with different beds throughout. We were even able to bring some of these natural elements and improvements to the inside of the home by updating the interior basement space, bar, and fireplace area.
This phase set the stage for the complete transformation, laying a strong foundation for the landscape that Crystal Ridge would become.
Phase 1
Phase 2: Enhancing & Expanding
In the second phase of this project, we took the landscape to new heights, by building on the strong foundation established in Phase 1. This phase was all about evolving the homeowner’s vision to create a more functional and cohesive space. It began with an expansion of the home with an exterior garage addition, where our team added all new patio spaces, a driveway with custom pavers, and a breezeway that connects the main house to the garage.
The area surrounding the garage received a complete makeover, including relocating the original shed outdoor structure design further down the property. Watch our video to see our team in action!
One of the standout features of this phase was the addition of a new outdoor kitchen complete with a pizza oven. Positioned perfectly between the existing deck and new landscaping, this outdoor cooking area is convenient to the home’s interior and exterior living spaces and great for entertaining. The deck itself received additional renovations to better match with the homes newly painted exterior.
We also made landscape renovation updates around the pool and throughout the property to bring continuity and harmony to the Phase 1 and Phase 2 elements. The result? A beautifully integrated outdoor living space.
