Featured Project – The Quarry
Winner of Hardscape North America’s 1st Place Award for Segmental Concrete Pavement – Residential.
The Quarry turns a basic backyard into a multi-level outdoor retreat. A custom paver pool deck, steppers, and terraces connect the raised stage patio, lower fire feature lounge, and resort-style jump rock, all wrapped in layered plantings. Designed in 3D from the start, every view, elevation, and gathering space was planned to feel cohesive, inviting, and ready for everyday living or big celebrations.

An outdoor front yard and backyard transformation in Sykesville, MD, featuring a 42” outdoor fireplace, with multiple color tones to complement the property, a compact yet practical outdoor kitchen, and more. The property was also upgraded with a new Trex Transcend deck with grey decking, which goes great against the tan-colored home. The new deck was also outfitted with low-voltage lighting throughout, making it truly a new outdoor living experience.

We turned this Glenwood, MD, property into multiple outdoor living and entertaining spaces. A total redesign for this backyard was completed in order to maximize the existing outdoor space with a pool. Through the design-build of the hardscaping and landscaping, our team was able to expand the upper deck, create a covered space underneath, and expand the pool patio. This extension of the pavers includes an area with a luxurious outdoor fireplace and multiple places to sit and relax. The pool deck includes an elevated platform with waterfall features to blend perfectly with the surrounding property. The addition of fire features and the covered deck space also allows for more use beyond the summer season.
