Maximizing the Space for an Incredible Outdoor Living Experience
With the redesign of the backyard came an expansion of the deck design, which provided a great opportunity to create a unique space underneath. This covered space is a dry area from the composite deck installation that is usable for most of the year.
From family meals al fresco to an entertaining space that includes a television for movies, sporting events, and more, this is a multipurpose space that will be used regularly. This deck and patio design also provides an escape from the hot summer sun.

Outdoor Fireplace
The Perfect Accent Piece
The outdoor fireplace is a beautiful focal point of the new patio. This is a custom outdoor fireplace design that is oversized to accommodate a larger family. The natural stone used in the fireplace melds seamlessly with the outdoor patio design, the pool deck, as well as the brick columns used for the deck expansion. The slabs used on the wood boxes and other areas are all single-piece, custom-cut blocks.
This makes a wonderful evening retreat after enjoying the pool and patio during the day. Stories and laughter are sure to be shared around this outdoor fireplace.

Covered Deck with Brick Columns
The Perfect Match That Ties it Together
As part of the outdoor patio design and installation, we needed to make a choice of what to use for the columns that supported the expanded deck design. We made the call to utilize brick that matches back to the house to really tie it all together and have it visually and physically be an extension of the living space. These brick columns work very well with the patio pavers that we used around the pool and the outdoor fireplace design with the use of stone. These natural materials complement each other and the end result is a cohesive and flowing deck and patio design.
