LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE ACCOUNT MANAGER

Location: Dayton, Maryland
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Pay Range: $60,000 – $70,000 / year + Commission
Schedule: Monday – Friday (seasonal flexibility required)

We’re Absolute Landscapes, and we believe great landscapes don’t just happen — they’re maintained through care, communication, and consistency. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven Maintenance Account Manager who thrives on accountability, enjoys being in the field, and knows how to turn great service into long-term client partnerships. 

This isn’t a sit-at-a-desk role. You’ll be walking properties, meeting clients, coordinating with crews, and making real-time decisions that directly impact quality and client satisfaction. 

What You’ll Do (and Love Doing) 

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and become their trusted point of contact 
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of maintenance accounts while identifying new opportunities 
  • Walk properties regularly to assess quality, identify improvements, and ensure expectations are exceeded 
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure services are delivered on time and at a high standard 
  • Communicate proactively with clients — addressing needs, solving issues, and recommending enhancements 
  • Upsell additional services and enhancements that improve property performance and appearance 
  • Coordinate and support seasonal services, including snow and ice management as needed 
  • Manage contract details, renewals, and service expectations with clarity and professionalism 
  • Keep internal teams aligned and informed to ensure smooth execution across all properties

Qualifications 

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re organized, proactive, and genuinely enjoy working with both people and properties. 

You’re Someone Who: 

  • Has experience in landscape account management, sales, or a related field (3+ years preferred) 
  • Understands landscape maintenance practices and is eager to learn quickly 
  • Builds strong client relationships and communicates clearly and professionally – whether you’re presenting ideas, walking a property, or sending a follow-up 
  • Can manage multiple accounts, priorities, and moving parts without dropping the ball 
  • Is detail-oriented and takes ownership of quality and follow-through 
  • Is comfortable walking properties, identifying issues, and recommending solutions 
  • Works well with field teams and understands how to align expectations with execution 
  • Brings a proactive mindset — solving problems before they escalate 
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) 
  • Has experience with LMN or similar CRM/estimating tools (preferred) 
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) 
  • Has a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
